Neodymium bar magnet/strong bar magnet
A Magnet can be custom made by human to a special shape .A magnet with the bar shape is called a bar magnet.
1.Material and Coating of bar magnets
Strong bar magnets are made of neodymium(Nd). Iron (Fe) and boron(B). which is the strongest material on the market right now.They can attract various materials made of ferromagnetic elements with powerful magnetic force. Silver bar magnets are plated with three layers of NI+Cu+NI .This coating of bar magnets has a shiny and corrosion resistant protection.
2.Properties of bar magnets
Bar magnets have similar properties of neodymium magnets.
A bar magnet has two poles .They are N pole and S pole.
Magnetic field lines can be drawn as imaginary lines that is along the magnetic field acting around the magnets.
The magnetic field lines of the bar magnet form a continuous closed loop. The magnetic field lines do not intersect.
The larger the number of intersecting magnetic field lines per unit area, the stronger the magnetic field B.
N pole of a bar magnet attract S pole of another bar magnet .And N pole of a bar magnet repels N pole of another bar magnet.
3. Applications of bar magnets
